Loughborough Venture Investor Network (LVIN) offers alumni and friends of Loughborough University a unique opportunity to invest in high-potential businesses emerging from one of the UK’s leading entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Early-stage ventures often face a critical funding gap. Our network model addresses this by connecting
investors with credible, Loughborough-linked startups seeking pre-seed & seed capital. These businesses span diverse sectors aligned with the University’s strengths - sport, engineering, product design - and beyond.
LVIN operates on a deal-by-deal basis, giving you full discretion over each opportunity. You choose the
investments that fit your interests and risk appetite, building a diversified portfolio over time. Opportunities will be presented with indicative terms, SEIS/EIS eligibility details, and lead investor information.
About Haatch
Investments made through LVIN are managed by Haatch Ventures LLP, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Haatch acts as the Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) of the Fund: it onboards investors through its regulated processes, holds and manages investments on behalf of members throughout the holding period, and completes investments through the Fund’s nominee. LVIN sources, reviews and circulates opportunities; all regulated investment activity is carried out by Haatch.
