SportPark Pavilion 4

Flexible, high-quality office headquarters in an award-winning bespoke development for the sports sector

Category A, Passivhaus development

A 2,000m development, built to the highest environment standards, is underway at SportPark, a multi award-winning bespoke development offering a high-quality environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.

Scheduled for completion in Winter 2022, sport sector organisations have a unique opportunity to input into the layout and secure future-proof accommodation, tailored to their needs.

The development of Pavilion 4 will increase the total floor size of SportPark by 25% to 8,000 sq m to enable further growth of a successful sports cluster and create a Global Sports Hub, with Loughborough at its heart.

Flagship sustainable development

SportPark’s 2,000 sq m expansion will be constructed to Passivhaus Classic Accreditation, to significantly reduce operating costs and bring CO2 emissions as close to zero as possible, while maintaining a thermally comfortable environment for its occupants.

Office accommodation units of up to 400 sq m are available, allowing flexible layouts to meet organisations’ needs.

In keeping with SportPark’s award-winning architecture and the University’s active campus ethos, the new development is specifically designed to maximise connectivity within the building as well as outside.

Thriving sport ecosystem

SportPark is a unique environment for sports organisations to share best practice, and create mutually beneficial partnerships within the building, the wider LUSEP and University community.

Part of LUSEP, one of Europe’s largest combined university and science parks, SportPark organisations benefit from co-location with an established innovation community, the University’s world-leading expertise in sport science, engineering, health and well-being, the UK’s highest concentration of athletes, and outstanding sports and business facilities.

SportPark was launched in 2010 by Loughborough University with support from Government, Sport England, Charnwood Borough Council and Leicestershire County Council. The 2,000 sq m expansion as part of the Government’s Getting Building Fund is delivered by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership.
