Business incubator for graduate startups
We’re a business incubation programme for student entrepreneurs. We’ve been helping award-winning companies and social enterprises since 2011.
The Studio is always interested in hearing from early stage companies and individuals who are working on products or services with lots of potential. We help Loughborough graduates by providing a free 12-month programme of support including:
The Studio is part of LUinc. - Loughborough University’s business incubator. It is based in the Holywell Building on the Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park (LUSEP) campus in north Leicestershire. We recruit from the Loughborough Enterprise Network (LEN) so that student entrepreneurs can continue growing their businesses after graduation. However, you don’t need to have engaged with LEN to be part of The Studio.
Our mission is to nurture emerging businesses from the Loughborough University community. We bring together ambitious Loughborough graduates and researchers working on exciting new business ventures.

You are eligible to apply for The Studio programme if you are a Loughborough University graduate within five years of your graduation. Applications are open to those applying for either in person or virtual support.
The first step is simple. Complete the form below to be considered for the next round of admissions. We will contact you soon after. Applications close in February for the Spring intake and July for the autumn intake.
We’ll invite you to submit a short Pitch Deck outlining your business in a little more detail. There are tips on what it needs to include here. We’ll also arrange for you to speak with a member of the LUinc. team to run through your early business plan in more detail.
At this stage we may ask for further, more detailed information about your business plans. The LUinc. team will then review your application and confirm whether you have been accepted onto the next cohort.

The Studio programme runs twice-yearly. New intakes are in April and September. We receive expressions of interest all year round. Please complete the form and one of our LUinc. team members will be in contact.
